NOW ENROLLING STUDENTS UNTIL MID-JANUARY!
Duval Dance Studio strives to provide excellence in dance education to today’s child in both a nurturing and professional environment conductive to learning; To create a sense of community within the studio, and enrich children’s lives with a life-long appreciation for the arts.
Founded in 1949, we have become a staple in the Scituate community and its surrounding towns. The studio proudly serves students in six different school districts. We offer a diverse program for children ages 2 and up. Students may dance as a form of recreation while developing grace and poise or they may strive to achieve a high level of technique and performing skills which may lead to a career in dance.
Our Philosophy
Duval Dance Studio believes that each child develops at his or her own rate, and that children have individual needs. We will provide your child with the kind on one-on-one attention and positive reinforcement that children need to feel successful. Through understanding, respect and exciting learning opportunities each child builds self-esteem and confidence.
Through the dedication of our qualified, nurturing staff we are able to assure quality dance training. Our teachers are life long learners who continue to educate themselves through dance teacher training schools, certification programs, workshops and master classes. Each teacher will encourage her students to develop a positive self-image. When children feel good about themselves they are free to learn and grow. Both the pre-k and school-age programs are designed with children and developing a passion for the art of dance.
"Duval Dance studio has been a positive experience for my daughter and has helped to foster confidence, poise and a love of dance. ..."
— Kathleen Hewitt (Parent)
"... Being in the Father Daughter dance gave me an opportunity to see the show from another angle. It was great to see the joy and anticipation of the kids either going to their act or coming back off stage rushing back to their rooms to get ready for another act. ..."
— Bob Richards (Parent)
